About Will Ditzler

As President and founder of RiverBirch Executive Advisors, I look forward to an opportunity to serve you and your team. From 2001 through June 2014, l was President and CEO of JFNew, a leading ecological consulting and restoration firm based out of Northern Indiana with over 150 employees and eight offices in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
Joining JFNew in 1992, I worked with entrepreneur and founder Jim New to lead the growth of our company through regional office expansion and 2 acquisitions. Becoming President and CEO in 2001 provided the opportunity to lead our team in continuing to build a high performance company. Through development of a strong leadership team and a focus our people, JFNew grew from $400,000 in revenue when I joined in 1992 to over $20,000,000, leading to twice being recognized as one of the “Growth100” award winning companies by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. JFNew’s people focused approach to management also led to being recognized as a best workplace finalist by the Wall Street Journal in a national competition for small businesses as well as recognition from the State of Indiana Chamber of Commerce as an “Indiana Best Places to Work.” After a 22 year history of success, the JFNew Board approved the sale of JFNew to Cardno Limited in 2011. Cardno is a global professional services provider with offices throughout the world. As a part of Cardno, my role involved helping and advising on integration, organizational structure, and operations, as well as train over 200 managers in the Environmental and Engineering Services Division on the Rockefeller Habits disciplines we implemented at JFNew. After joining Cardno, the Cardno JFNew team was again recognized for excellence, winning the "People" award at the 2013 Cardno Americas Conference for the #1 employee metrics in the Americas.
Outside of my business management and leadership background, my passions align with environmental conservation, local food, and indigenous justice issues . My free time is focused on wildlife habitat management, ecological restoration, canoeing, hunting, fly fishing and other outdoor activities. I have planted 75,000 trees on my way to a life goal of 100,000. I serve on the board of The Nature Conservancy Indiana Chapter, The Mamoni Valley Preserve, Carbon Neutral Indiana and am active in 1% for the Planet. I graduated in 1988 with a degree in Finance from Indiana University School of Business and now live in Westfield, Indiana with a conservation property and solar powered cabin on 175 acres in Northern Indiana. RiverBirch is a net carbon neutral company using solar power for office and vehicle charging and offsetting other carbon with purchase of offsets from Mamoni Valley Preserve rainforest in Panama.
